Birth Date Calculator

This calculator is very handy for genealogists.  The script calculates the birth date when the age at death and the date of death are know.  This is often the information recorded on older head stones.  Results are displayed in year-month-day format. All dates according to the Gregorian calendar, with New Year on Jan. 1.

The logic works well by the program is not very sophisticated so please make an entry in each box on lines 1 and 2.

When you have accomplished that, press the compute key located under the table and the answer will be calculated and displayed.  You may make changes and then press 'compute' again and the new answer will be displayed.


1.  You must enter a digit in each box.  Use a zero where you do not have a number to enter.
2.  Data entered - going across the page - is in Day/Month/YYYY format.
3.  For year of death an entry in each box is required. Specifically a zero in the box if nothing is known and make sure that you enter a four digit year where required - YYYY.
4.  To return to previous page use your browser 'Back' button.
