Good News - This Page is Under Heavy Reconstruction

This line of MATHESON originated in Ross Shire, Scotland. Our knowledge goes back to 1800. It is not known exactly when they immigrated to Ontario, Canada. We included data from as far back as we know, but generally stop at the point where the MATHESON line merges into the WICKHAM line.
By a stroke of luck we “met”, via the Internet, a family in Flint, Michigan, USA, who has an interest in the MATHESON line and had a lot of facts to boot. (I will be happy to put you in touch with them if you e-mail me a request). Even more amazing was the fact that they had met my grandfather, John “Jack” Matheson WICKHAM. They were even able to send to me a picture of him at a family gathering. Here is what I know, much of which came as a result of sharing of information.
