Steve Harrison
Steve grew up in Ft. Worth and began playing guitar
at age 7 along with his brother, Rodger. Steve
played trumpet in the Eastern Hills Jazz Band in high school and you'll
hear him play it on "Yuppie" if you
come to the live show. Right after high school, he began playing with
the rest of the family as The Blarney Brothers.
Along the way he's been busy adding instruments to his growing list.
So far, Steve has learned to play the guitar, bass, mandolin, banjo,
bouzouki, hammered dulcimer, didjeridu,
trumpet and pennywhistle. And it looks like he will soon be adding the
accordian. Add moving vocals and you've got a lot of talent rolled up
in one package.
Steve has always liked a wide variety of music with country possibly
being his favorite. But Celtic music has become his main passion over
the past few years, musically speaking. He hopes to add more traditional
songs to the repertoire affording more opportunities to play the hammered
dulcimer,a gift from supporters--Hudson
Hammered Dulcimers located in Whitney, TX. Many thanks to the Hudsons.
