Missing Tiles

Today was a nice day. My daily project around the house was to straighten the computer room and wax the floor in here. I didn't finish the straightening part, though. Tom has lots of miscellaneous stuff laying around everywhere and it takes me awhile to figure out where things go. Tom's been living here over a year and I've been here since October last year, but for some reason, there still isn't a -place- for everything, so it is difficult to put everything in its place.

The floor, however, looks very nice. I cleaned it twice before I put the wax down and my knees are sore. Somehow, I managed to miss 3 tiles in the middle of the room when I was waxing and didn't notice it when I was buffing it either. It was when I had the overhead light on, showing it off, that I noticed the dull tiles. I'll do those tomorrow.

Tom went walking with me again tonight. It is something I feel that I need to do, and it sure is nice having company while I'm doing it. I enjoy looking at people's landscaping. Tom doesn't feel comfortable staring at folk's houses. I've discovered a pet peeve of mine since I've been doing the walking thing. There are quite a few trees in our neighborhood that have branches low over the sidewalks, and I don't like ducking under them all the time. After a few minutes of walking, my calves are burning and my hips are aching. I take that as a sign that I'm doing the right thing.

I did spend some time early this morning surfing around on the Internet. I was looking at journal websites because I'm thinking of posting this one on the web. I've been keeping journals since I was a little kid. I'm not sure that keeping a TYPED journal is my cup of tea, though. One of my favorite things is to play with different colors of ink - when you flip through the pages, it is like a rainbow. Anyway, I need to build a new website. The one I have is just not ~me~ any more. I haven't touched it in months and months so its time. Now, all I have to do is find the time to play with it.

I have to go down to the county courthouse and have them do a search for a felony Record and a misdemeanor record for a job I've applied for. If they make me an offer, in addition to the psychological testing and drug testing, they will be running a check with the FBI. Pretty interesting stuff - suppose it is normal in the banking industry.
