The Floating Circle

There is a person outside with a glow-in-the-dark circle on his back. It is about 6:00AM. I see no sign of dawn. The person appeared to be pacing in six-foot area, back and forth, to and fro. When turned to face me, I noticed a glow-in-the-dark line up the jacket front. He/she was behind the car in the neighbor's driveway, so all I could see was the barest outline of torso, arms and head and the eerie circle and line floating just above the trunk of the car.

He finally stepped toward me; out into the light from the neighbor's security light and I could see he was walking a dog.

It's nearly 8AM now. I love the morning cacophony of the birds - the forlorn cooing of the mourning doves, the twitters of the sparrows and the just plain weird sounds of the grackles. Many of them are sneaking up on the bird feeders.

A political commentary of our day and age: I was watching the weather channel. This is important for someone contemplating pea planting. Lo and behold, I saw a commercial for a "Clinton Growing Nose Wristwatch". You too, can own a Clinton Growing Nose Wristwatch by calling THIS toll free number: 1-800-908-5511. Cool, huh?

Tom took the new toy (the digital camera) to work with him today and I feel deprived. What will I do if I suddenly have an inspiration? Besides, I need practice with it. My photos mostly turn out funny looking. I did get some good ones of the cat yesterday. He was out rolling in the dirt and having a great time and there I was clicking away. While I was at it, I photographed nearly everything else in the front yard.

We went out to Tia's for dinner tonight. We each had an enchilada plate and two margaritas. Yum. We had appetizers as well. We also have a nicely packed doggy bag.

When we came home, we watched some awful movie. . BLADE. It was a vampire-killing movie. I'm sure my son would like it, although I'm not sure it was better than Buffy. Tom laughed every time one of the vampires exploded or disintegrated. I love his laughter.
