Sunday, 7 March 1999Who loves????What a lazy day today. Tom spent a good deal of the day writing our honeymoon story and updating his personal web site. I love reading what he writes (probably because I love him).Love, love. That's one of the expressions used frequently in our family, especially by the kids. Even Alex, my beautiful young granddaughter, will put her cheek on you and give you a hug when you say, "love, love" to her. We have several love games. I think the one the kids have always liked the most was one invented when I had the three babies (Jason, Rodney and Tony) cooped up in car seats on the commute to/from day care/work. They would start getting bored and fussy so I'd distract them with the game, Who Loves _______? Fill in the blank with the name of a loved one, the dog, each other . . who loves Jason?? followed by a chorus of loud I DO's. Of course, now that there are so many smartalec teenagers in the brood, there is always an ~I DON'T~ mixed in there for the favorite siblings.
Dede, Tom S. and Katie came to visit this afternoon. We had a feast of baked salmon that they brought with them. At least, some of us had a feast; two of us (Jason and Daniel) didn't want to eat any fish -- they hate fish so they got to starve. Tom S. brought some of his photo albums. Some of them dated back 25+ years. Many of the photos were of Tom S's adventures out shooting with the guys. He shoots his camera. Sky photos are his specialty and he had some excellent examples of his work, various sunrises and sets and cloud formations. He took our vote on which one(s) to have enlarged even though it appears he had already made his selection. |
