A Journal of Sorts |
Tuesday, 9 March 1999Tres Journals I have three journals. I mean, three book journals. I write in whichever one I see first every day. It is normal for me to have entries in all of them for a given week, occasionally, I'll even have the same day's writings in several of them. I love them all, the cherub because I got him when I met Tom, the floral because it was my first real journal (the rest had been record books or spiral notebooks) and the purple velvet one because I got it while on a shopping trip with Daniel at one of his goth stores.
I had a semi brilliant idea when I was reading my daily other people's journals and noticed that many of them have a link back to a year, or even two years ago. I thought, why don't I photograph the pages in my journal and link back to them? I'll tell you why . .there are several reasons, actually. One, I can't afford the server space -- should switch to xoom or something where it is free and two, you can't really read what it says anyway. I did get a page from a year ago and two years ago before I gave up on the idea. I got a good laugh when these words jumped from the page while I was looking at the jpg's. Probably the best thing about nude camping is that I can pee standing up. I think the next time I photograph a journal, I'll read it first to see if the content is publishable. There are berries growing on the hollys and sprouts on the crepe myrtles today. Could it be that spring has sprung? |
