Thursday, 1 April 1999I heard tree frogs The cactus bloomed this morning. I still don't know what sort of cactus it is, but it appears to bloom at night and close up during the day. Its blooms are quite lovely so I put it on my April page. It is currently living on the kitchen table.
We have so much Easter stuff on the table that I might have to put a leaf in it to have room to eat. Here's a picture. Guess what's in the eggs . .you guessed it . .PEEPS!!!! I got some news today that caused me to do one of Daniel's little happy dances. I'm going to be accepted in the Analecta Webring. It is a new ring; it will be limited to about 30 sites and will have all that fun collaborative stuff. It will be a new experience for me and I think I'll enjoy it. She said she would be adding me this coming weekend. The tree frogs are alive and well! We heard them last night while we were out for our evening sit. It was the first time I'd heard them this year -- I think I was hearing crickets, too, although they sound so similar to me, it is sometimes hard to hear the difference. Tomorrow, we'll be going out to the ranch to gather some grandkids and bring them here for the weekend. They are out of school from Thursday until Tuesday. I haven't been seeing as much of them lately as I'm used to. They are growing way too fast. Of course, after they are here a few minutes, I'll be moaning that I don't like kids. |
