Mena or bust
One of my very favorite areas to 'chill' -- the Mena, Arkansas area. The Ozarks, the Ouachitas, ahhh, pure bliss it is. My most favorite camping place is very near there, in Oklahoma, actually, in the Ouachitas at Cedar Lake. It would have been our chosen destination this weekend, without question, if it were closer. (by the way, thanks to those of you who wrote to Tom and helped convince him to take the weekend off and pfffft to those of you who didn't write).
I got the final motivation to go to Mena this weekend in the form of $$$. I got an offer of a decent chunk of money and free hotel accommodations for making a delivery to a hotel in Mena (draperies - perfectly legal). I'm not so sure we will take advantage of the room, but I will most certainly take advantage of the money. *grin* So, off to Arkansas we will go! I'll do my best to remember the camera.

Looks like a super short entry for today. I have packing and car maintenance to deal with before we take off. I ~know~ I'm leaving owing a lot of you e-mail. I'll talk to you when I get back . .sorry about that.
