Short one

I woke up this morning in my own bed. It was nicer than nice, even if it isn't a waterbed. (When I married Tom, I had to give up waterbed sleeping after a good comfortable 25 years or so.) Got in late last night so didn't feel like updating or doing anything except for going to bed. I did have a lovely time at the ranch and plan to fill in the missing entries.

That reminds me that I've been meaning to mention that I have a notify list now if you'd like to be notified when I update, feel free to join.

Today was a wonderfully lazy day. I did climb out of bed at the regular wake up time of just after dawn. There was a nice two minute rain shower, which always gets my attention. Tom and I sat out back, drank the first pot of coffee of the day and caught each other up on our news.

As usual, the morning birdsongs were a delight. I took a stroll around the yard and checked up on all my babies. The peas have flowered!!! The tomatoes look really pitiful, though. My fancy Rio Samba roses were starting to open. A bit later in the day, however, Cricket ate every bud off the bush. shithead

I had to take a nap to get over it. While I was napping, I dreamed that John Bailey was my uncle and he was telling a friend of his all about how I played in creeks.

Had to get all my prescriptions filled today which set me back a pretty penny. Buying recreational drugs never annoyed me like laying out all the cash for the prescriptions does. Now that I'm on three different blood pressure drugs, though, I almost have a reasonable pressure.

The sunset tonight was very pretty as it always is on cloudy evenings. The magic time at dusk always brings the mockingbirds over to serenade us. Tonight, we saw a couple of herons flying around.

I'm going to crawl back into bed. Later.
