Mother, may I go out to swim?
Yes, my darling daughter.
Hang your clothes on a hickory limb
But don't go near the water.

Sweet Peas
This is a lovely picture of my fuzzy daughter, Teresa. No wait, I got that backwards, fuzzy picture, lovely daughter. She refuses to let me photograph her, so I've cut an eensy beensy square out of a group picture so I'd have one to put here. She's not really a fuzzy person, she is actually very sharp. That beautiful child on the May 1 entry is her daughter. Cute, aren't they? And they have brains as well as beauty! (yeah, I'm proud.)

I received more feedback on my journal today. (Please, keep it coming!) One of the comments in the e-mail was, ". (BTW, PLEASE don't put this in your
journal!)" That, of course, reminds me of the time someone printed -my- e-mail in their journal. I was quite annoyed over it, so . . . .I won't do that any more and if I've offended you (and you are STILL reading here), I'm so very sorry. I'm sitting here with a very contrite look on my face.
Ethics aside, there is also a discussion in the diary list about the legality of quoting mail without permission. Some very knowledgeable sounding folks say it is NOT ok and some other very knowledgeable sounding folks say it IS ok. Now I have to worry about Katie suing me.

Wow, am I EVER behind on my correspondence!! I didn't used to be this way, letting mail stack up unanswered. I wonder what's gotten into me? I -could- blame it on the Internet, couldn't I? Or maybe I could blame it on The Matrix or the violence on television.
Whatever the reasons, I sure need to catch up on it before everyone stops speaking to me. So, if a week or so goes by and I don't update, you'll know why.
If I owe you e-mail, expect a reply.

My peas are looking very much like peas are supposed to look, according to the pictures I've seen. I'm puzzling over when to harvest them. Feeling their little pods, there are quite a few of them that feel like they have pea sized peas inside. I assume that I can just pick them, shell them, boil or steam them to cook them and they will be ready to eat.
