I have a very strong dislike for job interviews -- especially since
I've become a AHEM degreed professional type person. There is
a lot to be said for those unskilled type jobs where the interviews
go something like:
Interviewer: Are you breathing?
Me: Yes, I think so.
Interviewer: Ok, can you start tomorrow?
Life was so simple, then. Now, there is the first interview, the
second interview, the technical interview, the team interview, the
security and background check, the credit check, the drug test, the
employment contract -- and so on and so forth. *sigh*
I think I probably did well on the first interviews today, though, and
expect to get a call to schedule the second interview in the next couple
of days.

My morning stroll through the yard revealed a LOT of teensy weensy
tomatoes. Two out of three of the crepe myrtles have started blooming,
too. Tom's rosebush has a nice new bloom and several promising buds
as well. The nicest find, however, was the clematis discovery.
I'm used to clematis being huge vines with monster flowers, but this
one is such a delicate looking plant and those bells are less than an
inch long. It is one that Hank dug up
somewhere in east Texas, I think.
I like it; I like it.

I just got e-mail from Mom commenting
on the spaghetti dinner entry. That sure made me feel good, hearing from
her.
I've been keeping journals since I was a little girl in one of
those diaries with the tiny key. Those paper journals have always been
very private and very personal.
This on-line journal thing is quite different. It was originally
intended to give my family
a little slice of life, a little news, a smile or two. About the time
I realized that they weren't going to read it, I discovered that there
were others who would, so I kept it up. It has been truly FUN
doing this.
A lot more fun than interviewing.
