Garden Stuff
Although I meant to sleep half of the day today, I was up and about
bright and early. Early enough to have several morning sits outside
with Tom. The birds were doing their
morning singing and hunting. A bluejay took over one of the neighbor's
wood posts for a perch for bashing bugs.
I've been missing the morning glory display every day this week. The
Heavenly Blue patch is really starting to take off. Although there are
only a few blooms, there are buds everywhere. I suspect I'll have a
blue fence by next weekend.
The tomatoes needed some harvesting this morning, too. If I leave them
on the vines (are tomatoes on vines?) after they start turning red, the
birds feast on them. I had no idea that
Cricket liked tomatoes. When I went off to get the camera, he
climbed up and snatched a few of them for his very own and was having
a feast when I got back. I'm very glad that we have the chicken wire
around the garden to keep him out.

I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed with the internet type projects
that I'm committed to. The time I intended to spend was a smaller drop
in the bucket before I was working full time. Now that the (free time)
bucket is smaller, it seems I've overextended a bit.
Fortunately, none of the projects are long term.
The main thing right now is the Diarist Awards. It appears that there
are about three hundred nominations to go through to select the
finalists. I'll have a piece to write soon in Elizabeth's Circles project. It
is about time to submit a couple of
EnterView interviews as well. The projects for The Amalgam need to be
organized and coordinated as well.
Oh, the trials and tribulations of being a working girl.
I've had to logon to abc.com to keep current on my soaps, too.

I just had a Nutella and peanut butter sandwich. Am I hooked or what?
