Man in the Moon
I have only one marigold. Although I seeded the bed quite well, few of
my seedlings survived Tom's onslaught with
the hose or Cricket's digging sessions.
I've not planted the taller variety before, or the yellow ones. I think
I'll try them again next summer.

I had a good discussion with Ed and the
boys about their living arrangement. *sigh* I'm still somewhat
stunned at their decisions.
Both Daniel and Jason have valid reasons for wanting to
be with their father. And it isn't like they are moving far away
or don't love me anymore. Jason, especially, agonized over this
because, he says, "I love Mom."
Ed and I, in my opinion, have always been complimentary parents. We
each have our own individual wonderfulness to offer them, but each of
us have some areas where we are lacking. Over the years, we've
we've learned to overlap and fill in for the other quite nicely.
At this point in their lives, I can understand why they might want
and need more time with the male parental unit. It is just the first
time in over thirty-two years that I'll have no children living at home.
I'm going to find this very difficult to deal with.

There was a big orange crescent moon laying on the hilltop when I
got off work last night. I swear I could see that half face shape
like you see in the cartoons. It had a nose and everything.
