My Work Family
Let me introduce you to the three people I'll be spending most of my
waking hours with for the next few weeks.
First, meet Linda. Linda is my trainer at the department store. She has
been my taskmaster for the past two weeks and a demanding taskmaster she
is!
Linda is very much a company person. Often, she quotes the the man who
founded the company and then utters his name with complete hushed
reverence. This is common around the company. I'm trying to get over
my irreverence enough to learn to do that myself.
She is probably mid 30's to low 40's. She is quite pretty, a blonde.
She wears perky shoes, usually loafers. She is always dressed in
traditional full business attire (a suit) even though, for the summer,
we are officially on business casual. She could be wearing nice
skirts or slacks with blouses if she wanted.
I admire Linda, even though she annoys the snot out of me sometimes.

Then there is Dan. He is my smoking buddy so we spend every moment
together. The phrase joined at the
hip has been uttered a time or two.
Dan is somewhat irreverent.
Dan needs to learn temperance, I think. He gets quite radical at
times and is a bit too vocal about it. Especially when Linda is
unrelenting, cruel and bitchy. Sometimes, one of us
will just sort of rub her the wrong way or something. At those
times, she cracks whips over our heads until we get back in line.
Dan is in his lower 30's. His hair is a dark strawberry blonde and
he has hazel eyes that change color according to what he is wearing.
He wears golf shirts every day.

Lastly, there is Bishop. Bishop makes me feel warm and fuzzy all
over sometimes because he likes his wife so much. Bishop is our
sincere dude. He speaks from his heart, always in a caring manner.
He cares about everything he does and is tackling this training session
with an exactness that is something to behold.
He's the big guy of our group, towering over Dan and me. He's
in his low to mid 50's, I'd guess. He has a bit of grey in his
black beard and wavy black hair. He dresses well, although he says
that isn't important. He said, "I just want to be clean."
Bishop and I give each other high five's.
