The Shambhala Training Gate

Shambhala Training is a secular path of spiritual training, inspired by the ancient legend of an enlightened society. It is a path of meditation practice and study based on the teachings presented by Chögyam Trungpa in Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior. The Shambhala lineage is carried on by Trungpa Rinpoche's son, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

Shambhala Training is open to everyone, whether or not they are associated with a particular spiritual tradition. The Shambhala teachings  technique of meditation to one's engagement in the world. They are about how to cultivate warriorship in one's life. Warriorship in this sense is not about aggression, but about cultivating nonaggression and the bravery to face ourselves, our lives and the world with dignity, fearlessness and gentleness. Heart of Warriorship Programs

The first five levels of Shambhala Training are known as the Heart of Warriorship. Each weekend program offers meditation instruction and practice, talks on the Shambhala teachings, group discussions and individual interviews with a meditation instructor. Completing the Heart of Warriorship provides the tools you need to establish a personal meditation discipline and the principles of warriorship in your daily life.
