If I can stop one heart from breaking
I shall not live in vain
If I can ease one life the aching
Or cool one pain
Or help one fainting robin
Unto the nest again
I shall not live in vain.

                                 Emily Dickinson

Some of the purposes of this site are to promote literature, theatre & other arts, to aid & inspire communication & cooperation, to share my original poetry, stories, scripts, etc & possibly some from people I know, to rant&rave & to spread truth, logic & compassion.
Presently, I'm simply putting something here to get the page set up. I intend to add much more very soon.
The page title is inspired by 1 of my favorite poems which I hope to get permission to put here.
Later that same day: (-:  I received permission to put the poem The Theatre of Life up here to share with the world. :-)

          The Theatre of Life

Welcome to the madness
Come right on in and play
You're the actor and the audience in one
So just have fun
And welcome to the Theatre of Life

It's all ad-lib
And ne'er rehearsed
Come right up here
You go on first
You'll be cheered or
You'll be cursed
In the Theatre of Life

You're the joker and the joke
You're the Lady and the Bloke
Did you ever want to play the part of man
Well here you can
Method acting
Free form poem
Exit stage right
Come back on
Take a chance before it's gone
On the Theatre of Life

It's all ad-lib
It's ne'er rehearsed
Come right up here
You go on first
You'll be cheered or
You'll be cursed
In the Theatre of Life

Would you like to write this bit
Come on now, the show's a hit
Direct a day or two you might
Set the stage
And spot the lights
Raise the curtain, let it drop
You're the one who builds the props
Time runs quickly, never stops
In the Theatre of Life

It's all ad-lib
It's ne'er rehearsed
Come right up here
You go on first
You'll be cheered or
You'll be cursed
In the Theatre of Life

Every show's a big production
Every show could be a flop
Write the music
Sing your solo
Join the chorus line
You're doing fine
Think what you'll add to your portfolio
And don't you know it's better when you show
That you've interned in the Theatre of Life

It's all ad-lib
It's ne'er rehearsed
Come right up here
You go on first
You'll be cheered or
You'll be cursed
In the Theatre of Life

And now it's opening night
You have stage fright
It's such a sight
Relax, you'll have a fine time
Recite prose
Or make it rhyme
Make us all break down and cry
Rock the roof and make it fly
Push the sorrow
Push the sadness
Now you're goodness
Now you're badness

I intend to soon compose another page for more poetry & a page for info on 3rd Friday At The ArtCentre, a monthly literary reading I coordinate for The ArtCentre Of Plano
Please   concerning poetry, stories, scripts, etc on this site or anything concerning literature, theatre & the arts.     for anything else.
This site will be added to, at least once a week, usually more. Today I started an Essay Page for essays I wrote, some published, some not. I plan to add to the Rant & Rave Page, tonight, some thoughts on language & communication which within a few weeks will probably be big enough to require a separate page. Within the next few days, I'll start a Journal Page. Entries may or may not be daily. Entries will concern events in my life at those times & things from the past I happen to be thinking of.
The purposes of Theatre Of Life mostly only require text. I hope to soon add counters & guestbooks. Tho I may add some images, etc, it never will be loaded with bells & whistles. With 1 exception, hopefully, no page here will ever take 3 minutes to load, specially this main page. I do plan to start a page for The ArtCentre Of Plano which will have art samples with info on current & coming art exhibits & other ArtCentre events.
Most pages on the Theatre Of Life site will have links to most, if not all, other TOL pages. Every page will have a link back to this page.

Much madness is devinest sense
To a discerning I
Much sense is the starkest madness.
Tis the majority
In this, as all, prevails.
Assent & you are sane
Demur, you're straightway dangerous
And handled with a chain.
