Tuesday Rites Set for Mrs. Wiggins
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary P. Wiggins, 79, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Christian church, with the Rev. Loyal S. Northcott, pastor, in charge.
The body will lie in state in the church parlor for one hour prior to the funeral. The casket will not be opened at the services.
Mrs. Wiggins, who died of a heart attack Saturday night, was the widow of W. L. Wiggins, concrete contractor here for many years. Her husband preceded her in death in November, 1946.
The former Miss Mary Bump prior to her marriage, Mrs. Wiggins was married at Rose Hill, Iowa, on Oct. 11, 1893. She and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1943.
A native of Iowa, she accompanied her husband to Longmont, Colo., in 1902. The moved to Ponca City five years later.
Mrs. Wiggins had been making her home in recent years with a daughter, Mrs. A. A. Lane, 716 North Birch street. She was an active member of the Christian church.
