Transsexual - Genetic or Learned?

When you are born noticeably different from others around you it tends to cause a person to either go in a shell and hide or to start doing research and asking questions!

I was one of those girls that started at a very early age asking questions and reading every medical book and journal that I could find! When I was very young information was slim, hard to find and like most things that are not understood - only spoken of in hushed tones and behind closed doors.

I know we have very long way to go but just in the past two decades we have come a long way baby!!!!!

I have traveled all over the world and have been to every state in the U.S. except for Alaska and have talked to scholars, doctors, politicians, clergy, rich, poor and those from just about every walk of life. I have read as I said, every medical journal, book and conclusion I could find and have been to the Mayo clinic and other prestigious medical facilities simply to find out if I am normal or psychotic and truthfully I have found that NO-ONE is "Normal".

Everyone has a different balance of female and male hormones and that is why some women have facial hair while some men have breasts etc. Of course trying to find a redneck that will admit he has female hormones could be a problem.......giggle*

After years of exhaustive research I have come to the conclusion that approximately 94% of all self-proclaimed transsexuals and gays are born with their gender and gender preferences pre-disposed and have NO choice in the matter!!!! I do believe that some of the other 6% think they are transsexual or gay because of outside influences, particular happenings in their lives such as erotic sexual encounters or because of guilt from a forced sexual encounter that has created doubt in their minds.

I believe the biggest problem that all gender different men and women have are those in the world that judge us and yet they themselves despise being judged! If everyone in this wonderful world would worry about themselves and not try to force their lives and beliefs on others, we might actually all be able to get along but I don't forsee that happening. Even our president is trying to get an amendment to the Constitution to forbid same-sex marriages............WHY??? I would bet that would NOT happen if his two daughters were both gay and wanted to marry other women!

The other single largest problem we as a group have are all of the religious bigots that claim they can "cure us"......

I wish I could cure them but I respect their beliefs and just wish they could respect me, my life and everyone elses life regardless of what that life may be as long as we are not hurting others.

Being different in most of our cases is NOT a choice just as being born with red hair or blonde hair is not a choice. A male that develops breasts as a young teenager or a female that is born with a penis is NOT a choice. Someone that is born loving only feminine things or only masculine things is not a choice! Someone that is born loving another human being regardless of their looks or their gender is NOT a choice but rather a beautiful thing.

Which is worse...........what society calls a "normal" man and woman couple raising a child that they are mean to and even brutal to with no love and no caring or a transsexual or gay couple that loves each other and in some cases may raise and love a child with caring, compassion and respect!!!!

DIFFERENT..............Yes, we are ALL Different .........but I would rather live my different life 10 times over again the exact same way than to live what some call a "normal" life and know it is a lie!

Below is just one of the many documents found backing up the conclusion of how we all are born!

Men who choose to become women and Women who choose to become men do not feel female or male simply for psychological reasons but because their brains are different, Dutch researchers said in a report in Nature.

"Transsexuals have the strong feeling, often from childhood onward, of having been born the wrong sex," said Dick Swaab of the Netherlands Institute for Brain Research. "Our study is the first to show a female brain structure in genetically male transsexuals and a male brain structure in genetically female transsexuals."

He and his team at the Netherlands Institute for Brain Research studied the brains of six male-to-female transsexuals and female to male transsexuals over 11 years.

They paid particular attention to a part of the brain important in sexual behavior, discovering that in the transsexuals it matched that of the opposite sex from what they were to the outward appearance born..

Swaab said it is likely these differences arise before adulthood, probably as a result of interaction between sex hormones and the developing brain.
