Did you know that the average citizen has not been able to own an "assault" for many years? The Crime Bill was a hoax! It was a tool to inflict even more regulations on law-abiding citizens. It simply banned certain, what they considered to be "ugly", SEMI-automatics. They only called it a ban on assault weapons to make it sound like they were doing something new, when in all actuality, true assault weapons or even what they are calling "assault weapons" are only used in crime around 1 to 2% of the time.

Assault weapons are no great threat to police officers either. The FBI had to admit no more than 2 or 3 officers per year as killed by assault weapons, and they are 2 to 3 times more likely to be killed with their OWN weapon than an assault weapon!!

Another interesting tidbit: Do you know where most of the guns the BATF confiscates each year come from? GUN COLLECTORS!! You'd think it the majority would be the .38 specials that criminals tend to carry. But those weapons are virtually worthless. Instead, they confiscate millions of dollars worth of collectable guns, generally under false pretenses and without actually charging the owners with a crime. It is virtually impossible to get confiscated weapons returned when there are no charges to fight in court.
