Lizards
Warning! You must arrange for students to wash their hands after handling any class pets!
Lizards of almost all varieties will eat crickets. They commonly need a good deal of warmth and this necessitates an aquarium with reptile heaters such as those that stick to the bottom glass in a tank. Don't use an electric rock because they can burn the critters. They will often need a specific type of water dish. Visit your local pet store to find the particular needs of different varieties of geckos, skinks, iguanas and chameleons. I myself have never purchased one because I have always relied on the students to bring lizards to our classroom. They catch them of course. The indigenous varieties are very hardy.
