Where did it go?
The ease which we spoke
and laughed and cried together
when did it change?

All things change in their own season
even as we ask ourselves and others why
some are gone, lost for all time
others stay and strive to just get better

Ahhh the loss is so hard to bear
when one heart is full of love
for another and doesn’t know how to stop
when barriers are late put in place

the barriers so high and hard to leap
impenetrable walls so high of ones making
the other spirit beating, flailing at the wall
all to no avail.. hammering, weeping

falling to the knees wailing
weeping, crying for what???
why?? no answer outside
seeking deep inside to inner guide

mouthing prayers for what used to be
then comes silence.. thoughts on winged glory
and a star comes out in the dark night sky
and one lone tear falls, silent..

only one for what once was there
but now at bay .. different rules
feelings anguish torn ripped apart
but healing will happen

just as a new day so is a new way found
to reveal the hearts love song for the one
the new day is begun with life’s turning
so continues the cycle of love, redefined
