Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time - No Limits Casting Call!

Any Actor... Any Era!

WOT CHARACTER
PLAYED BY:
Take A Look!
Rand Al'Thor Eric Stoltz

The two top contenders were so close, if it wasn't for being able to "go back in time" to grab a younger Stoltz, I would have added 10 years to Rand's age and gone with Damian Lewis.

Runner-Up: Damian Lewis
Matrim 'Mat' Cauthon Jerry O'Connell

Yep, the fat kid from 'Stand By Me', all growed up! Stonedog's site had Jerry voted in as Perrin. Based on his past movie roles, though, ('Joe's Apartment', 'Tomcats', 'Kangaroo Jack') he's a much better fit, IMHO, as Mat.

Runner-Up: A young Errol Flynn
Perrin Aybara Gabriel Macht

Casting Perrin was not easy. You'd want an actor who's built like a blacksmith, but most of the girly-men passing for leading actors these days lack much of a physique. I considered Vin Diesel, Scott Caan, and Josh Brolin before deciding on Gabriel Macht ('American Outlaws', 'The Recruit').

Runner-Up: Josh Brolin
Egwene Al'Vere Kate Beckinsale

Featured in 'Pearl Harbor' and 'Underworld', Kate has the beauty and the acting skill to do a great job as Egwene.
Elayne Trakand Grace Kelly

The Gold Standard when it comes to drop-dead gorgeous blondes. Often imitated, but never equalled!
Has the classic beauty and regal bearing to play a princess. Hell, she WAS one!
Nynaeve Al'Meara Charmian Carr

Portrayed Liesl Von Trapp in 'The Sound Of Music'.
Perfect attitude for Nynaeve, and would go great with my pick for Lan! (see below)
Aviendha Claire Danes

Featured in 'Terminator 3', 'Romeo & Juliet', & 'Brokedown Palace', Ms. Danes' career spans a wide range of character styles. She's matured into an actor that can portray Aviendha accurately.

Not sure Claire can make it as Aviendha?

Min Farshaw Audrey Hepburn

OK, Need a beautiful, slender, short haired lass with big dark eyes... Who would fit the bill better than Audrey Hepburn?
Moiraine Damodred Vivian Leigh

Moiraine is a tough casting call.. You want someone who's beautiful, but has a steel fist inside a velvet glove. Vivien Leigh (Scarlett O'Hara in 'Gone With The Wind') fits the bill nicely.

Don't like the choice? Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.
al'Lan Mandragoran
"Lan"
Antonio Banderas

Antonio as Lan? Sure! He's not as tall as Lan is supposed to be, but plays the "Man Apart" type of role very well. Add to that the fact that Lan only has maybe 20 lines of dialogue in 5000 pages, and Banderas becomes perfect for the part.
Loial Unknown - CGI probably

There are very few pictures of Ogiers available...
