This page is devoted to free basketball links among Big East member schools, though many of these sites link to football and other sport sites. Also included are college newspaper sites from various schools and the team message boards.
First, though, let's get this out of the way:
THIS SITE IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE BIG EAST CONFERENCE, ITS EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, OR SPONSORS.
LINKS ARE PROVIDED SOLELY AS A CONVENIENCE TO THE READER. THIS SITE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONTENT OF THE INFORMATION ON THESE LINKED PAGES.
Web sites are grouped below as follows:
Official sites are those web pages either operated by the school, a representative of the school maintaining the site (ie, "FansOnly"), or the
Big East Conference's official web site. Expect to find very official news here and a minimum of off-season talk.
Unofficial sites are various independent, corporately maintained (i.e. Alliancesports.com) and other fan-intensive sites. Expect a wide range of quality and quantity, but a good way of learning
about recruiting and fan issues among the schools.
Facts & Traditions sites contain information on a school's colors, mascots, fight songs, etc. These sites are maintained by the universities unless noted.
Message Boards are sites where fans can post comments on sports for others to answer. Most are free-form with minimal rules
to talk about your team. However, some sites are more concerned about free speech, liability, or both, and may require your name, address, and pertinent information in order to use the site. A ® indicates a board where E-mail registration is required to post a message. In most cases, you are free to read messages without registering.
Live Broadcast sites provide a direct link to hear that school's basketball games on the Internet.
Campus Media sites link to newspapers or magazines at that school which cover sports on a frequent basis.
Daily Media links indicate the major daily newspapers in that school's area covering basketball.
Online Media Links indicate sites on the Net with special coverage of that team.
If you'd like to add a link, send us an E-mail. Also send an e-mail if you spot any broken links--some sites can change addresses.
The official Big East conference site is at www.bigeast.org.
We have included links to the various main team pages and fan forums
by school, but you encouraged to give the entire site a look.
