Revolutionary War Soldier. Pension application gave his age as 74. He enlisted 2 Nov 1779 in Chatham Co., NC and served until 2 Aug 1780. He was in the battle of Guilford Court House. After the war he lived in Burke Co, NC, then Grainger Co., TN, and later Rutledge, Bradley Co., TN. The estate sale was recorded 5 Jul 1843 with reciepts of $2.86. Sarah Sellers bought one pewter dish, 4 pewter plates, 2 knives, 1 pewter basin, 2 spoons, 1 bed, and furniture. Everything else was bought by his son James Sellers.
