I have the privilege of serving as your PTA President this coming school year.  I am looking forward to a great year, and am very fortunate to have a wonderful group of parent and teacher volunteers who will also be sharing their time on the PTA Board.  Their dedication to our school and children is greatly appreciated. 

Our board will be very busy planning fundraisers, events and programs which will support the growing needs of our school and families of Shady Grove Elementary.  Our goals for this year will include: 

• To contribute funds for educational tools needed by our teachers through our PTA Grant Program
  
• To sponsor our Connecting Kids Playground project, benefiting all our children and community
  
• To grow children and parent participation in special interest programs designed to enrich our children’s education
  

I hope that one of your personal goals this year is to be better informed and involved in our school.  The Rising Star Newsletter, published by the PTA, will be filled with great information and important dates.  Volunteer Packets, coming home in backpacks soon, have many areas in which your help will be needed this year.  We could not accomplish our goals without your support and participation.  Thank you in advance for your time.
