Rick is the leader of Savvy. He began playing drums at age 12. Savvy is the only professional band he has been a part of. Along with his family, Rick is part owner of Savvy's Nightclub, the band's home base.

Steve Jones

Birthplace:  Ft. Worth, TX
Instrument:  Rhythm guitar & vocals

Steve began performing professionally in the second grade as a ventriloquist, magician, and clown.  He later incorporated guitar and banjo into the act. Steve and RJ are cousins, and were previously both members of the Desperados.

Ricky Lynn Gregg

Ricky began singing gospel music at age 5. He started playing professionally at 14. Before Savvy, Ricky was with the rock and roll band Push.

RJ Jones

Birthday:  June 4
Birthplace:  Ft. Worth, TX
Instrument:  Bass guitar & vocals

RJ began playing guitar at age 16 and was soon recording original music with Wildflower, a Ft. Worth band. At 19 he switched to bass. In 1976 he teamed up with cousin Steve to form Desperados.

Rich Mauch

Rich started playing at age 7. He has been in rock groups since Jr. high school. He is a founding member of Savvy.

Dan Kostura

Birthday:  August 17
Birthplace:  Washington, D.C.
Instrument:  Keyboards & vocals

Raised in Dallas, Dan started playing at age 16. He was with the popular band Lynx before joining Savvy in 1980.
