Agora 1983

This is a shot of Ricky, Steve, and Rich mugging for a fan's camera onstage at the Dallas Agora sometime in 1983. The other two did most of the guitar playing. Mine ended up being more of a prop, and a spare for when Ricky or Rich broke a string.

I worked up lots of third part guitar harmonies for our original songs, and played my heart out on them live, but what I didn't realize was that our soundman rarely got around to my volume control, and I was just hearing the stage mix most of the time.

Of all the guitars I've owned throughout the years, the sunburst Les Paul pictured here is the only electric guitar I still own. I play it on Saturday nights when I jam with brother Chris at our home studio in Richland Hills, Texas. We aren't really a band, but if we ever decide to form one it will be called The Muggz.
