RELIGIOUS ED. CLASSES ENDING SOON!

Our last Religious Ed classes are Sunday, April 20 and Wednesday, April 23. Please remember to thank your child's Catechist & Aide for the time they have so selflessly given to help your child grow in their faith.

BABY WORLD:

We are in need of Baby cereal and Similac formula. As usual we are in need of size 4 & 5 diapers, baby wash, shampoo and lotion! Thank you all for supporting Baby World where we help mothers and babies in crisis, we couldn't do it without your generosity!

FOOD PANTRY

We have again been blessed this year by Curves on Harwood Dr. in Hurst! Our food pantry is the recipient of their food drive and so far they have given us almost 3000 lbs of food!! A class from St. John's School also collected a lot of food for us and even put it on the shelves! Thank you! Thank you! As of Monday we are completely out of canned tomatoes so that is our biggest need. We also need all the extras such as detergent, deodorant, razors, toothpaste, toilet paper, dish soap and cleaning products (none of which can be purchased with Food Stamps).

Attention Parish Youth

It is time to start signing up for DCYC 2008 - Destination Jesus Christ! REGISTRATION packets (for students and chaperones) are available at the front desk in the administration building - the fee will be $125.00 and will be due by MAY 14. (After that date there will be an additional $15 fee.) For more information about the conference please go to www.fwdioc.org and look in the youth ministry section. Contact me ASAP if you want to go!

Next Youth Meeting

Our next youth group will be on May 4th in the assembly room from 6-8pm - if you are in grades 9-12 please come! If you have considered coming, and just haven't - we want you there!

Youth Confirmation

Confirmation 2008 registration has begun, so start getting forms filled out for next year. You may come by the office and get the registration information. We had a great year in '07, and I do believe that this upcoming year will be just as amazing!

This year we have religious ed on Wednesdays and youth groups on various Sundays. Here's a heads up on my plans for next year - we will be having youth groups on Wednesday nights. So far I plan on having 2 catechetical nights a month (which will possibly include Theology of the Body), one service project, and the last night will be either a movie, tutoring/homework or a game night.

If you're a catechist interested in teaching at the high school youth nights and/or Confirmation classes, please contact me! (If not, we can train you :)

ADULT CONFIRMATION CLASS

(Must be 18 or older and out of

High School) Will be held Saturday, May 3th, 9:00 am to 4:00 PM. Cost is $10 (includes lunch). Confirmation will be on

May 11 at the 9:30 mass. Call the church office to register. Please bring a copy of your baptismal certificate and fee to the class on May 3th. For information email Kim Philp or call at (817) 284-4811 ext 205.

MISSION TRIP:

June will be here before we know it so it's time to start collecting children's vitamins, prenatal vitamins and powdered formula. We want to take our suitcases full of these items for Madre Ana Maria to distribute in Patzun. Donations may be brought to Mass as part of the offering or they may be brought to the Administration Bldg at any time during working hours.
