Our Team

The RCIA Team at St. John's is comprised of over a dozen people.
Although we're always looking for new team members that want to get
involved in adult ministry, the majority of the team members are
seasoned RCIA leaders with several years of experience. Many of the
team members have several hundred hours of lay ministry training and
some hold graduate level degrees in Catholic theology.  In addition to the lay ministers that help lead RCIA sessions, many of the sessions are lead by our parish priests as well as guest speakers.

RCIA is not just a Sunday morning class to attend at St. John's.
Qualified instructors are important, but, our team would not be complete
without some of our members that have committed themselves to seeing to
the personal needs of those that visit with us each week. Hospitality
is critical to integrating people into a community and we have the
perfect people for the job. Making people feel at home when they walk
in the door is one of the most important aspects of adult ministry.

If you asked most of the team members why they keep spending year after
year with RCIA, you would receive a variety of responses. Most of them
always say it's because they enjoy working with people that are excited
to learn and grow in their faith. Many would also tell you that the
RCIA process offers them a way to keep growing in their own faith.

St. John's is a large parish and usually has one of the largest RCIA
programs in the diocese of Fort Worth. Keeping a high quality RCIA
program going each year would be impossible without the commitment of
our team. We are very fortunate to have such a high quality group of
people that spend much of their free time ministering to those that are
taking the RCIA journey.
