The new center is be on the corner of Cinco Ranch Blvd. and Peek Rd, across the street from the church property. Living Christmas Card for the Katy Community
VOTL gave this one-of-a-kind event on Saturday, December 21 from 5:00-8:00 PM! For details click here. VOTL provided for the Katy community a living Christmas card. The card featured three separate scenes of live donkeys, llamas, goats, sheep, shepherds, Roman soldiers, angels, a scene of the Bethlehem stable and more. You can view our card in one of two ways. Either drive by from the comfort of your vehicle, or, if you’d like to take more time, park in our parking lot across the street (click for map) and take a leisurely stroll past the three scenes, sing with the angel choir, and relax in the joy of Christmas! When you are finished viewing the card, feel free to come inside our church space for Christmas cookies, Christmas music, and hot cocoa. The living Christmas card is a gift from VOTL and is completely free for the public. It was held at the VOTL church property site. Fellowship NightVOTL members got together on December 13th. Here are some images. Thanksgiving Eve service
VOTL will hold a special Thanksgiving Eve service on Thursday morning, November 28th at 9am. Since our new location on Cinco Blvd. will not be ready yet, this service will be held at the parsonage. Come and enjoy a morning of singing songs of praise to our God who has blessed us in so many ways! FELLOWSHIP NIGHTVOTL members got together on November 15th to spend time together. Here are some of the highlights around the bon-fire. RICE HARVEST FESTIVALVOTL manned a booth in the 2002 Rice Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13. Thankfully, the LORD blessed VOTL and all fairgoers with dry weather that
weekend. Balloons and pens were freely distributed, along with church
information for those who were interested. All in all, a great weekend!
RICE HARVEST PARADEVOTL had an entry in the 2002 Katy Rice Harvest Festival parade on Saturday morning, October 5. "Ole Blu"-a 1954 baby blue Chevy truck owned and driven by VOTL's president David Patterson-served as the main attraction of the VOTL entry. Members of VOTL marched behind Ole Blu down Katy's streets and threw candy to spectators. Everyone enjoyed Ole Blu's presence in the parade, and they especially enjoyed the "ooooga" horn on the truck. Look for Ole Blu in next year's parade!
ICE CREAM SOCIALVOTL hosted an ice cream social for the Katy community on Saturday, August 17 from 6:00-8:00. The social was held at Roosevelt Alexander Elementary School, where VOTL was holding Sunday services. The social was free and even included a moonwalk! The event was well-received and probably will become an annual event. Look for this in August 2003!
