About Us!

We are a group of people striving to serve and honor Christ. We are committed to serving God and to seeking and saving the lost (Matthew 28: 18-20). We believe we should speak where the Bible speaks and be silent where the Bible is silent.  We teach only the truth of the Bible and it is always presented in a loving way.

We encourage you to follow the links to the scriptures that are in this website.  If you have questions about our beliefs, please contact us and we will be happy to talk with you.

We believe the Bible is the final, complete, authoritative inspired Word of God. We believe that there is one church, one spirit, one hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God (Ephesians 4:4-6).

Our members refer to the congregation as the “church of Christ”, not in a denominational sense, but in the sense in which Paul used the phrase in Romans 16:16. We are committed to simple and spiritual worship.  Our goal is to please God, and we believe that the way is to follow the doctrine set forth by Christ and His apostles in the first century and revealed in the New Testament.

We have no creed or doctrine except the Bible. The Bible is inspired and infallible (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1: 20-21; 1 Corinthians 2:11 -13).  What the Bible directs on any given subject is the final word for us.  It is what is taught in our Bible classes and in the pulpit.  The Bible is our guide to heaven.

Our congregation is not part of, or subject to, any larger man-made religious organization. We are a completely autonomous congregation.  We are locally governed, just as the church in the first century was. We answer to Christ our Lord; he is the head the church.  (Colossian 1:18). The elders at Central oversee the congregation. Our elders are the leaders of our congregation and must meet the qualifications set out by the Bible (1 Timothy 3, Titus 1). We also have deacons and they assist with various other duties.   The deacons must also meet qualifications set forth in the bible (1 Timothy  3)
