APPLE CRISP


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Small Bag Granny Smith Apples
  • 2/3 Cup Sugar
  • 1-1/2 Tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/3 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 3 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Rolled Oates
  • 1/3 Cup Wheat Germ
  • Molly McButter (or equivalent)

    Directions:
    Peel, core, and slice apples. In a large bowl, combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, and 2 Tbsp of flour. Transfer to a greased baking dish. Sprinkle a generous amount of Molly McButter on mixture. Combine remaining flour with brown sugar, oates, wheat germ, and a generous sprinkling of Molly McButter. Stir in 4 Tbsp of water and mix the ingredients well enough that the mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle the mixture over the fruit in the greased baking dish. Bake the crisp at 375 for 40 minutes or until lightly browned.

    Suggestion:
    Makes excellent breakfast. Divide into servings and freeze.
