The Mobile Management Task Force (MMTF)

This new industry group was formed to promote new management standards that specifically address the concerns of network administrators who must manage mobile computer users.

In addition to Epilogue and Xircom, IBM Networking Division,LanAire, Motorola, National Semiconductor Corp., and Zenith Data Systems signed on as charter members of the MMTF.

A World Wide Web page has also been created to keep interested parties informed of MMTF efforts and developments in promoting new mobile management standards

The Wireless Opportunities Coalition is a diverse group of organizations and companies dedicated to preserving and expanding the opportunities for growth in the wireless industry. The Coalition's primary focus is to support the development, manufacture, and use of wireless communications and related devices which are not licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) but are regulated under "Part 15" of the FCC's rules. Many of these devices share the 902-928 MHz frequency band.
