France

Arc de Triomphe:

The Arc de Triomphe was commissioned by Napoleon to honor the French military.

Eiffel Tower:

The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 for the Centennial Exposition. The Eiffel Tower is 984 feet tall and remained the tallest structure in the world until 1930. In 1890 it was used as a meteorological station, in 1903 it was use as a military telegraph station.

Venus de Milo:

Venus de Milo (2.02 meters tall) marble statue from 100 BC.

Mona Lisa:

Leonardo Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" (1503 AD). This was the only painting in the Louvre that was enclosed in a glass case. This is one reason why the picture is not very good (the other is that I'm not a very good photographer).

Virgin and Child:

Leonardo Da Vinci's The Virgin and Child with St. Anne (1510 AD).

Unknown Painting:

In case your wondering why these pictures appear to be at an angle, It's because I had the stand off to the side when I took the picture, otherwise the flash would be reflected off the painting. I haven't been able to find the name of this painting, but I'm still looking.
