1. Hiram Brown
Hiram Brown is believed to have been the son of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Floyd) Brown. Shortly after his marriage to Mary Allison, they moved to a large farm on the Falling Water River, part of which was later owned by Dave and Lola Belle Brown McCormick on Hwy 70 East of Cookeville, TN. Hiram ran a general merchandise store at his home located where Dave and Lola McCormick's brick house now sits.
Mary Allison Brown is believed to be the first person buried in what was later known as Brown's Mill Cemetery. Her son Hiram A. donated the land for the cemetery on 30 May 1878.
2. Josiah Brown
He went with a wagon train along with John Wright and others around 1833 to Polk County, MO.
Hester Bartlett's parents owned a large farm on the Falling Water River where Hester was born.
