Founded 1967
Richardson, Texas

The American Association of University Women, founded in 1881, is a national organization that promotes education and equity for all women and girls.  It is open to all graduates who hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.  For more information, please visit the web-site of AAUW National.

We are a small but active branch located in North Dallas County serving the communities of Richardson, North Dallas and Garland. Branch meetings and smaller interest group meetings provide social and informational opportunities for our members.  Branch meetings also serve to inform members and the public about civic, cultural, political, educational, health, and recreational topics of current interest.  These meetings are free and open to the public.

Richardson AAUW members are active members of our community serving as volunteers and providing monetary support for various causes including The Network of Community Ministries, VVF Nigeria and the Richardson Public Library.

BRANCH MEETINGS

This year we are trying a new approach to branch meetings. We will continue to meet monthly, usually in the third week of the month but we are varying the days of the week in order to meet the varying needs of our members. We are also planning a more varied format, some months we will have a speaker, some months we will hold joint meetings with other AAUW branches and local organizations, other months we will simply get together for a cultural visit to a local museum or art gallery. All meetings are open to the public. Just contact one of the officers listed below for exact locations.
