The American Association of University Women, founded in 1881, is a national organization that promotes education and equity for all women and girls. It is open to all graduates who hold a baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university. For more information, please visit the web-site of AAUW National.
We are a small but active branch located in North Dallas County serving the communities of Richardson, North Dallas and Garland. Branch meetings and smaller interest group meetings provide social and informational opportunities for our members. Branch meetings also serve to inform members and the public about civic, cultural, political, educational, health, and recreational topics of current interest. These meetings are free and open to the public.
Richardson AAUW members are active members of our community serving as volunteers and providing monetary support for various causes including The Network of Community Ministries, VVF Nigeria and the Richardson Public Library.
Let’s Celebrate!
This year we are proud to be part of the Biennial State Convention to be held in Dallas April 25 -27, 2008 celebrating 100 Years of AAUW in Texas.
